A Blue Watercolor Romance at Villa de Lucca

When we were approached to do a styled shoot at the incredible new wedding venue at Villa de Lucca, we couldn’t say yes fast enough! Designed by Better 2Gether Events and featuring some of our favorite vendors on the Central Coast, this photo shoot inspired by “breezy blues” is sure to get your imagination going!

After several years of neutrals and greens dominating wedding palettes everywhere, we are so excited to welcome back color with the re-emergence of blues of all shades. This classic (even essential, according to some!) color can convey so many things, from whimsy to royalty. For this shoot, Rachell wanted to capture the blue skies that surround Villa de Lucca’s stunning and unique Jasmine Sanctuary. Open to the air, this structure evokes something between a fairytale and a cathedral with its stunning lancet window frames and oak sigil.

When designing this invitation suite, Rachell wanted to incorporate some secret and hidden details, like the fact that when laid out just right, each piece combines into one original watercolor painting. There’s even art hiding inside the envelope liner. As a fun spin on another emerging trend, Rachell decided to treat the champagne welcome as an opportunity to create unique escort cards that perch on the rim of each flute.

We were so thrilled to be invited to create something unique for this incredibly special place, and look forward to many beautiful events to come at Villa de Lucca!
